In a proclamation delivered on August 6, 2026, the US government indicated its intention to implement a 15% tariff, under Section 232, on imports of polysilicon and its derivatives while establishing minimum import prices (MIP) for these products.
The new tariffs will enter into force at 12:01 AM ET on December 4, 2026.
